What is the Highfield Centre?
The aim of the Highfield Centre is to provide intensive Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) programmes in a centre-based environment. This overcomes the difficulties parents of children with autism often face when implementing the programme in a home environment. It is a not-for-profit company, set up by the Sharland Charitable Foundation.
Where is the Highfield Centre?
The Highfield Centre is situated near Wilmslow town centre, with aspects of community life close by. Within the building are eight large teaching rooms, including a dining room for the children’s lunchtime, an assessment and training room, a parent’s room and a staff room. The Centre also incorporates extensive space outside, with private parking and safe areas for outside activities in a playground and garden with lawns.
All parents and professionals are more than welcome
to come and visit the Centre by appointment – we will be more than
happy to assist you.
